Golden Tate visits Pierce!

The cost drive has officially ended and Pierce collected over 1800 coats and an additional $800 to purchase coats. Thank you so much to everyone that donated towards this cause. Golden Tate came to Pierce today and we all waved and high-fived as he walked by our classroom.

Fun Run

We had great weather and a fun time at the Pierce Fun Run this morning. It was pretty crowded, but the kids did great! Thank you to all the parents that were able to come out and help run with us, cheer us on, or donate toward the cause. 

Math partner game

Today we learned a math dice game. We are also learning how to be a good partner. We played the class against me first. Then the children played with a partner. 

Constitution Day!

Today we learned about Constitution Day, a day that commemorates the signing of the Constitution. It was a kindergarten, condensed version. But we had fun making our own constitution for our class and signing it. We also made patriotic headbands and listened to patriotic music. 

Field Day fun!

Everyone had a great at field day last Thursday. The children were divided into small groups of 4-5 and then went from station to station. They could choose where they wanted to go and had 33 choices! This was a new format this year and it seemed to work very well. Thank you to all the parents who were able to help out!
