Halloween addition

We started using the ten frame to help us make combinations for 10. We used Halloween counters on our ten frames to help us.

About Me

My name is Kristen Padgett and I have the best job in the world! I teach kindergarten at Pierce Elementary School in Birmingham, MI. I have been teaching for over 20 years, 17 of which have been at Pierce. I love kindergarten and every day is an adventure in learning and fun!

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Masters in Math Education.

I have two children of my own - Josh and Ella, and am married to Tim. We live in Novi, MI.

Daily Schedule

8:44-8:55 - Arrival
8:55 -9:30 - Greeting, Morning meeting, calendar, read aloud
9:30-9:55 - Handwriting/word work
9:55-10:40 - Specials
10:45 - 11:25 - Writer's Workshop/literacy stations
11:25-11:30 - Brain Break
11:30-12:00 - Reader's Workshop
12:05- 12:45 - Recess and lunch
12:50-1:00 - Rest and relax
1:00 - 1:30 - Math whole group
1:30-2:30 - Math/literacy centers
2:30-3:00 - Free choice time
3:00 - 3:15 - Snack and pack
3:15 - 3:30 - Recess
3:35-3:40 - Goodbyes
3:45 - Dismissal
